Pagoda Portrait:

Vice President Tiziana Richiardi

Rotary Club of Shanghai is led by a duo of successful women through the Year of 2019-20. President Terri is supported by Tiziana Richardi as Vice President. Pagoda portraits the person behind the office.

When did you join RCS and who was your sponsor?

I joined RCS on April, 19th 2016. My sponsor was Michel De Vriendt, who is a great mentor to me with all his great service examples.

Where are you hailing from?

I come from Italy, Turin more precisely.

What are you doing professionally?

I deal with 2 different, opposite business-es. One is related to mechanical field (quality inspections and sourcing in same cases); the other is more a passion than a work. It’s about halotherapy, the therapy of salt that I have imported from Europe.

What would you like to share with our readers about your family?

I simply love my family. I’m here in Shanghai with my hubby and son. We moved to China immediately after we got married. So, basically we are still on honey-moon! Then I want to mention that I found a second family in Rotary.

What are your hobbies, apart from RCS?

I love reading, watching movies and play with animals.

How do you recharge your battery?

I am enjoying family and friends time.

Best/Last book you read and why

I won’t tell you the last one and why, simply because it will be reductive. I love reading, this is something that relax-es me very much, actually it makes me enter into a parallel world. I prefer thrillers, but if I find a book that fascinates me, no matter which genre, I totally lose perception of reality around me.

What is your favorite place in Shanghai?

home, sweet home.

What is your advice to any new member of RCS?

be engaged and you’ll find a family! Act, don’t waste time. Serving is more rewarding than you might ever expect. You receive back more than you give.
