Rotary China District Conference 2024
As the PE of RCS, I was obligated to attend the recent Rotary China District Conference. As expected, it was so much more than an “obligation”. It was a pleasure, a great one. I felt the spirit of Rotary, the warmth, dedication, and passion for service and fellowship. The conference had everything from training to party and sharing. I enjoyed every minute – and I am grateful for the learning and networking opportunity that this event provided me.
The organizing clubs RC Suzhou and RC Kunshan and our district team couldn’t be praised more for their meticulous preparation. For me, the training for the President-Elects was extremely helpful. I feel much better prepared now for my role as upcoming RCS president. Among others, SR Andrew, P Tiziana, IPP David, and PP Moto walked us through all the important areas of becoming and being a club president.
The dinner party was great fun, insightful, and – thanks to SR Andrew – wonderfully inspiring. The highlight of the night was the announcement of AG Ian as SRE, Special Representative-Elect.
On Sunday, Rotary Clubs and Rotarians used the occasion of the vocational expo to share experiences and introduce their service projects and professional services.
Again – the conference was a great experience and I recommend everyone who couldn’t participate this time to do so the next time!
